The Greater Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce is looking for an executive director who will be an ambassador, cheerleader and business advocate for our Chamber and community.
Join the Greater Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14th at the Hornet Park Community Center and enjoy a unique musical performance by bell master, Dean Jones. Dean will play a set of 27 cowbells, set up like a piano keyboard. This is a special opportunity to enjoy the sounds of the holiday in a way you'll be sure to remember. Lunch will be provided by Newk's Eatery. Dean Jones Dean Jones grew up in the Peoria, Illinois area, but lived in California briefly, where one of his classmates was Dusty Rogers, son of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a strong emphasis in music, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Butler University. If you have a 317 phone number, your number will not change. But: You will need to dial 10 digits (area code + number) for each local call. Calls that were local before 10-digit dialing will still be local. Rates and local calling areas do not change because of 10-digit dialing or a new area code. Toll calls will still use 11 digits (1 + area code + number). You will be able to use either 7 or 10 digits to complete local calls during the grace period. If you try to make a local call using 7 digits after the grace period ends, a recording will ask you to try again with 10 digits. Do you enjoy reading stories? What about reading to kids? The principals at Hornet Park and Central Elementary schools are looking for business professionals interested in taking 20-30 minutes out of their day to visit a classroom and read a story to students in grades K-3. We will work with the Beech Grove Branch library to find a book(s) that relates to volunteer's line of work. Those interested should contact, Paige Anderson or the Chamber for more info.
The Chamber board needs members' feedback regarding events, activities and communication.
