After an extensive search, the GBGCOC Board of Directors extended an offer to a wonderful candidate for the Executive Director position. To our delight, Ron Mayes, EdD, of Southport, accepted the position and has begun the transition into the role. For the past few years, the Greater Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce hosted an event called Music on Main. Last year it highlighted Bucky Covington, and was well attended, showcasing Beech Grove's Main Street and our Beech Grove community partnerships. After much consideration, the Greater Beech Grove Chamber of Commerce board of directors decided to cancel the 2017 Music on Main event. With the departure of our Executive Director, we've lost a lot of the resources that went into making this event fun and exciting. Our former Executive Director spent a lot of her time making connections, selling sponsorships and coordinating the people and resources that went into making Music on Main successful. We still have an exciting year ahead with great events and celebrations for our 10th year anniversary. Please consider joining us at our golf outing, annual dinner and monthly [...]
